Gaming laptops are not for the weak of heart. They require maximum power, maximum speed, and the highest resolution to provide a gaming and entertainment experience you not only can brag about, but can also take with you anywhere you want. Before you become the laughing stock of the LAN party, make sure you take a look at our top three laptop gaming machines.

First up to bat is the Samsung Series 7 Gamer. Under the hood is a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of DDR3 memory, 1.5 TB hard drive, and most importantly, Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics. The Samsung Series 7 Gamer may be a bit on the bulky side, but this machine was bred for gaming. It's shiny black exterior makes for a bold presence that blends nicely with your gamer gear, fixed with a sweet speaker grille and LED-enhanced circles. At the touch of a dial you can toggle between energy and screen settings, featuring “Green Mode,” “Library Mode,” “Balanced Mode,” and the “Game Mode” which optimizes the screen to prepare you for ultimate gaming. The average price of the Samsung Series 7 Gamer is $1800.

Next in line is the Asus G74SX. This laptop is equipped with the high quality hardware you would expect from an Asus gaming machine: Intel Core i7 processor, 12 GB RAM, 1.5 TB storage, and Nvidia GeForce GTX video card. The 17.3” widescreen is ideal for hardcore gaming or watching movies in 1080p HD. The Asus G74SX will be your portable entertainment system, featuring 5.1 surround sound, Blu Ray Player, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Though it weighs in at 9.4 pounds, it's not bad for a  17” gaming machine. You can get the Asus G74SX for an average price of $1600.

For a real natural born killer, go for the Alienware M17X (Sandy Bridge). LED accented lighting makes this one mean looking machine, with power button, multimedia keys, and Alien Head logo all illuminated and configurable to up to 20 different colors. The unique front bezel with LED lights give this laptop a menacing expression that lives up to the intergalactic moniker. With 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of DDR3 memory, and AMD Radeon graphics (with option for Nvidia GeForce GTX) the Alienware M17X is capable of handling the latest games at the highest resolution at the best quality settings. The 17.3” widescreen is ideal for 1920 by 1080 resolution. This is hands down the best looking design for any gaming laptop we've seen. With an average price of $2000, the Alienware M17X is a bit on the expensive side, but for the true gamer, the experience will be worth it.

Each one boasts their own bold design, and each one is capable of letting you experience games the way they were meant to be played. The Samsung Series 7 Gamer, the Asus G74SX, and the Alienware M17X have been masterfully engineered to whet every gamer's appetite for winner, winner chicken dinner.

If you're really into gaming, laptops aren't recommended, but if you must, i'd go with the MSI G Series. Affordable (to gaming standards) and has all the hardware you need.
